Asking for Support: READ FIRST!

When posting for assistance with Linux it helps if you post the following information in your post:

   
• The Linux distro are you using and the version number
• The version number of the software application
• Anything about your hardware that might be related (e.g. if it has to do with printer problem, what printer are you using?)
• Any steps you took to solve the the problem yourself
• When somebody helps you, please thank them
• If your problem was solved, please come back and let us know
• If it wasn't, let us know that as well
