Looks like quite a few cool changes. The addition of Cinnamon Spices should make Cinnamon a lot more flexible and individual. I still wish they'd make the default theme and icons a bit more attractive but I think they make a great distro overall. Thanks for the info, Bill! Are you going to upgrade? You don't actually have to since 18.2 will be maintained for some time.

I have upgraded on the desktop computer (year 2008 with AMD 64 bit CPU).
Upgrade went fine. A number of warning windows about different Config files on the existing 18.1 version that were different from what 18.2, was wanting to use.
Gave a number of options, but I chose to let the Config files to be changed to what 18.2, wanted.

When done and rebooted, the Grub menu had changed the order of the Dual Boot, to have Mint as the first (and default) boot item, instead of Windows Vista.
I typed Grub, into the search window of the Mint desktop and it came up with a Grub editor.  I used the editor to change the boot order back to having Vista, as the first boot item (because my wife uses this computer).

I did the upgrade, hoping to get back the Printer selection menu item, but it still seems to be missing, so I can't set up my Kodak ESP 5250 printer/scanner.
I also  was hoping the upgrade might fix the SANE program, so the Mint page scanning program, would find the Kodak page scanner.  This again failed to find the page scanner. :-(

Looks like I will still be removing Mint 18 and using Mint 17, which does work with the Kodak page scanner.

Oh, that sucks. Looks like 17.2 has security updates until 2019 assuming that's the one you were using. Don't remember if there was a 17.3 but it's likely supported until then, too.

Interesting. All recent versions of Ubuntu work with the SANE program. I know because I use it with my Canon scanner.

For my whole issue, with the SANE program, with the Mint 18 and my Kodak ESP 5250 printer/scanner, look in the Support Forum and Kodak 5250 printer.
