Strangely that day is completely open for me. Is there enough interest for it? Who wants to go? Doesn't have to be Tim Horton's btw, open to another meeting place, preferably one that doesn't have so many Conservative signs close to it!  ;D

Cool. Obviously I will be there. I usually say at 7 pm but keep missing that time so let's just say 7:45 pm for me.

I should be able to make it. Not 100%. If Ms Dao is free I'll bring her along too.

We'll miss you, Fox. So if three including me is enough for you guys, I'll see you there.

So the meeting, apparently, will be only those members who have been in the club for at least 20 years! Time to reminisce. Looking forward to it.

Now I can't come for sure! I think of myself as a veteran, but not of 20 years. I'm not sure I even meet the 10 year mark; probably not.  >:(

I'm pretty sure you've been in the club for at least 10 years. I say we bequest an honorary extra 10 years to put Fox over the line. I mean, the guy installed Linux on a Mac! More than once, even!

At least six Macs over the years. I joined PLUG the last year we were meeting at E B Games. Our website shows me registered in 2016, but that can't be right. (Due to removing of old forums?) My saved Linux email messages on my computer go back to 2008, and I don't think I would have been emailing about Linux before I was a club member. So I'm guessing 11 years.

So that works out to 8.8 years because you slept through 20% of each meeting. The 20% is of course an approximation. Sometimes we forgot to time your sleep.

Yes, that's when the new forums started. Before that we did the forums through the main website (called Old Forums now). And before that we had forums similar to this but the backup, sadly, was unrecoverable so it never went forward to that. PLUG actually dates back to 1999 (maybe 1998).

I can't validate any years because my brain is so full, I keep having to throw out old data. So I can only go back about 5 - 10 years. I do remember that I did turn 80 this month. I try to forget, but my friends keep, they say in a 'helpful way', reminding me.

'What are friends for, right?' is what they also say as they do this.

And they sent a card that on the front says, 'The tests are all in and it's confirmed',
and inside it says, 'You're really old.'

LOL I will never call you old because you've called me young once or twice.

Ms Dao  just texted me to apologize. She just left Toronto on a plane and can't come to Timmies. I'll be there though.
