Growing up from childhood and becoming an adult is highly overrated.

Well if you mean a PLUG Mug,  I can make it for the usual 7 pm time, this Thursday

I'm pretty sure I can as well. If Jason comes, I'd love to see him bring in his Rpi and show us how responsive Raspian is on it, if Bill brings in his little Rpi monitor. I could even bring mine in and we could compare responsiveness between the old and new Raspian.

It might also be time to think about presentations in September and maybe we could do something on various pi projects.

Yeah, I can make it, too. I have a 17" I can bring in but I don't have an HDMI-to-VGA converter and I'm not sure I could see the display with my eyes properly on a smaller display. Does anyone else have one? Otherwise I'll try it with the small display if Bill wants to bring it in. Whoever gets there first, try to find seats near an outlet, please.

I don't have a RPi monitor.  I do have a pico projector with hdmi input, that I could bring, but that probably wouldn't show up that well, in the Tim Hortons location.

If somebody can give me a ride there and back, I can bring my Samsung monitor which is what I've been using with the Pi. It's 24" so might look a bit large on their table but at least everyone will be able to see it with 1080 resolution.

I can give you a ride, but I think it makes more sense if Bill can bring his tiny monitor.

Didn't you see his message, Fox? Bill doesn't have a tiny monitor.

I meant pico projector. I saw it work at apast PLUG MUG, and for what I'm interested in seeing (how fast a pi can run Raspian or any pi distro).

What surface will he project it on? Timmy's is surrounded by Windows. I supposed the table but it's probably too bright in there. Does it do 1080, Bill?

"What surface will he project it on?"

What about a piece of cardboard?

Jason

Only if you hold the cardboard the entire time. In any case, Bill doesn't seem to think it will work there so I wonder if Fox maybe saw it projecting at a regular meeting? I remember seeing Bill with it, but I don't remember actually seeing it display anything at Tim's.

I think i may have used the back of a placemat, for a screen.
It probably does 720P, i will check if it does 1080. Yes the pico does 1080P..

I have a relatively small 17 inch 4by3 flatscreen monitor, but I take it a VGA connector is of no use to you.

Jason

No, unfortunately not. I have two 17" LCD displays but they're both VGA only, too. But Mike offered me a ride so if I'll bring my 24" unless anybody has any huge objections. We can still try it on the pico projector, too.
