Ubuntu 18.10 vs. Fedora 29 video

I found this comparison between these two distros on YouTube by InfinitelyGalactic quite fair. While he certainly has his preference, he points out it's because of his focus and yours may be different.
* Zorin OS 17.3 Core on a Dell Precision 3630 Tower with an i5-8600 six-core processor running at 3.1 GHz (4.3 GHz turbo), 16 GB of RAM, a 512 GB M.2 drive, and a GeForce 1060 card w/ 6 GB of VRAM
* Motorola Edge (2022) phone with Android 15

I see that now. Really, you find it slower to load? I haven't noticed that really. It comes up fast on my machine. Kubuntu came up fast, too, but it's been a while since I used Ubuntu on this box.

I had Fedora installed on an older PC laptop; perhaps that had something to do with it. Incidentally, I installed Plasma on Ubuntu 18.04 on a C2D Mac mini. I found Plasma to be slower to load than Gnome. Once loaded though, it's at least as fast. This Mac mini has 8 gb RAM so I don't think that RAM has anything to do with it.
