So, has anyone seen any very good Black Friday or Cyber Monday deals?

I have been checking out the computer desktops, but have not seen anything that meets my criteria.
I am interested in possibly, a basic new desktop in the low $400 to upper $300 range and I want at least one PCIe slot available and preferably one memory slot, available.  I prefer an Acer brand and I don't really trust the HP brand, since the previous HP computers I have owned, seemed to have problems after a few years of use.
Best Buy Canada has a number of HP desktops that meet my price mark but I just don't feel that I want to take a chance on that brand.

One of the nice things about buying a computer from Best Buy (or Staples) is that you can return it for free in 14 days; no restocking fee. That's a fair period of time to test it out although granted it can fail later. I think you typically get a year of automatic warranty on a computer.

Both HP Canada and Dell Canada have Black Friday deals on their desktops and laptops. So does Microsoft Canada.

wondering if you have considered refurbished units, I've had good experience with them at quite a cheaper layout.I usually look for ones that come with a 3yr warranty such as this one from Staples. Staples store locally deals with any issues that come up including free shipping.
I've had good experiences with this line of towers and they have an extra memory slot and pci-e 16x slot.

If you're looking for a new phone or provider, Freedom Mobile is offering an extra 100 GB per month on any $60 package that includes a tab. And no, that's not a typo.

Wow, that's a lot of data. The way I use it, 100GB would last me 50 years! :) But then again, $60 pays my phone bill for almost 3 months!

That's just for texting, though, right? Or does that include the credits you buy for calls and data? I know you're a very occasional user :)

At 100 GB you could use them as an ISP :) I probably couldn't. I suspect I download more than that per month though I haven't looked recently.
