Yubikey 5 released

here is the announcement. Looks like the same key as Yubikey 4, but with more support protocols and better support for phones and tablets (on top of computers), all in a single device. Cost is $US 45, plus shipping. Is it worth the premium over the $10 Yubikey 4 one can get with the Wired subscription?

I guess it depends on if you really need FIDO2/WebAuthn support and NFC.

I haven't found anything that requires either of those protocols though I know that W3C (the organization that sets the standards for the webs) has introduced WebAuthn, so eventually it probably be THE standard for 2FA online as browsers start to support it natively. I believe FIDO2 is for those that work in government or the military.

It'd be a plus to have NFC to add 2FA to mobile devices but I'm no willing to pay $45 more for it at this time. But you might feel differently.
