VERY interesting read... I'll have to image off my 17.2 and try the new 18 Cinnamon... So long as nothing blows up in my face, it'd be the quickest shift for me to anything 16.04'ish... I'm obviously NOT an early adopter, but this might well see it happen much sooner than it would normally - I usually have to upgrade to remain 'live' (witness my mostly 12.04.5 stable of electronic minions!! <^8#)
