(Never managed to fall in love with Mint. It always seemed 'heavy' to me as an operating system. Touch slow.)
Growing up from childhood and becoming an adult is highly overrated.

I also found Mint slower than Ubuntu, and more energy consuming as well, although I haven't tested it in a few years. Also, Mint doesn't feature either of my preferred desktops, Unity and Gnome.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to try it. My LM 17.2 Cinnamon 64-bit has decided it no longer knows what other computers are connected SAMBA'ish, and I'm forced to use IP addressing to get around my network manually. Doable, but a bit of a PITA...

Weird... It's been really good for... Well, since it came out, I suppose... ??

The Linux Action Show did a review of Linux Mint last Sunday; view it on Youtube here. It starts at minute 59. Chris Fisher gives it a mixed review; he really likes the desktop and the convenience of it, but is negative about it from a security point of view.
