Microsoft targeted WannaCyrpt ransomware

So far I haven't been infected on my Microsoft Vista OS desktop, but I guess I better take action.

My Vista hasn't done an update since June of last year because it's update software has got corrupted (this is a known issue with the Vista OS) and doesn't work. The update page says my Vista is up todate. Right!!!  :-(

There is a long process to go through, to correct this problem, so I will have to look up the information and see if it corrects my update problem.
I do have multiple. recent backup images of the desktop hard drive, so I am good, that way.
