Since the meeting a couple of days ago, all I've been thinking about is brisket LOL.  We had an interesting side conversation about brisket and cooking techniques.  I know a few of the others were doing slow/hot smoking of brisket, while I do cold smoking.

I'd like to suggest that we arrange a get together.  I don't know when it will be.... maybe we can safely do it over the summer, and have a brisket/BBQ fest?  Maybe we can arrange it at a local park?  Bring chairs, and we can all enjoy some grub and chat together, safely.

Thoughts?

Sounds good to me. :-)  As you say, we will have to see what the COVID conditions are like by perhaps August..

I would be in for a physical get-together as soon as we are able. Make it a BBQ - even better.  :)

Where are you located gmiller? I'm transit-bound but if it was close enough, I could take a cab to it. I love me some meat! BBQ meat much more so!

It will also depend on whether or not I can get vaccinated by then. They lowered the age to 55 in Ontario so hopefully, they'll be doing 50+ soon assuming they actually roll out the vaccines fast enough here. My wife has comorbidities so I can't expose myself to any unnecessary added risk before then.

We live in the Kawarthas.  I'm just outside of Bobcaygeon.  I know a few members are in Peterborough.  Maybe we could try to arrange to meet in a park in Peterborough so it's easy for those who don't have their own transportation.  Again, just a thought, and I know life is difficult right now to plan; but, it also doesn't hurt to make plans even if they have to change.  :)

Sure thing! Nothing wrong with setting a date sometime soon. I think all of you old farts will be vaccinated by then even I can't make it. :)
