Messages working?

I'm seeing some weird things in the logs concerning sending messages. Are any of you having trouble sending messages or not getting a response back when you expected one using the 'My messages' menu function?

In an earlier version of the topic post, I said 'email' when I meant 'messages'. I'm asking about the messages function. But if you try to send an email to someone through the forum (i.e. clicking on the email link underneath their name with a post they made) and it doesn't work, let me know that, too.
