PLUG’s website is finally back up! For the curious, our website is powered by Ubuntu on a Virtual Private Server (VPS) using WordPress and SMF.
The Peterborough Linux User Group (PLUG) is located in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. We’ve been around for over 20 years and have about a dozen members.
We used to meet monthly for member presentations and afterward we’d get together at Tim Horton’s. Obviously, the pandemic has altered those plans. We’ve moved our conversations online using the free and open-source software Jitsi and in our text-based Forum as usual. Although we might have occasional presentations, the meetings are mainly to socialize. These virtual meetings are announced in the PLUG Forum and are open to all. You can also shoot us an email and we’ll notify you of upcoming meetings.
We hope you’ll check out our Forum. There’s a lot of information within that should help you on your Linux travels. While we’re not presently accepting self-registration to the forum email us and we’ll add you.
We want you to stay healthy, so wash your hands, stay 2 m apart and wear a mask. There is more information here about protecting yourself and others here.
Stay safe, and we’ll be back in person before you know it!
