Was going to start asking you to do this in April but that's cool that you're doing it now, Brian Exciting to be have a new location! Will we have a private room like we did at E-lan? Not that we need to, really, as long as it's not too noisy. Just curious. Hoping they have the same snazzy black lights

Flyer looks really good. I suggest maybe using a QR code that links directly to the website. And I'd suggest maroon (like the logo on the website) instead of the yellow but I guess you're trying to match Tux.

I see Kawartha Credit Union as a sponsor. Is that because you're hoping they will cover our $2/month fee and/or chequing fees?

Perhaps there should be a line on the poster, to say that Linux is an alternative computer OS, to Windows or Mac OS?

As for the alternative to windows / macOS we live in a world where android is a household name so to save precious space on the page I don't think we need it, that is what the site / forums / facebook is for

I think if you asked the average person with a smartphone, they wouldn't know that android has anything to do with Linux. I would bank that half them aren't even aware that their phone uses android - they would just think "it's not an iphone" or "it's a galaxy", etc.

I don't think the general public/computer user, has any idea what Linux is.
I think the poster should have something to say that Linux is a computer operating system, that can replace the Windows or Mac OS.

It made for a good night we were able to get a new face out for the meetup as well. There are tons of unmet linux nerds in town

Andrew the owner was also very welcoming, he was off in the back working on the creation of an RPG game of his own as we all chatted.
