Title: I'd like to introduce myself
Post by: BusterE on April 18, 2018, 07:45:52 PM
I'm a new member because I can't remember Buster's password. So on 4 systems I'm Buster, and on my 'new' one I'm BusterE. (I couldn't be bothered changing my password so all of them matched.) And soon you'll get to read about how I resurrected a middle aged system with an ssd hd. What a difference! (Mint by the way.)

You can reset your password as long as you still have access to your old email address, but otherwise, welcome to the forums, new Buster! ;-) If you're not sure how, shoot me a message and I'll walk you through it.

Look forward to the story of  how an SSD brought your old system back to life. I was going to talk about our experience with it but I don't want to ruin your ending :)

Speaking of changing your code name, what's with the new moniker, Jason?

I like Bon Jovi.

Shows how much I know about musicians. I didn't recognize the moniker.

Well, that's okay, Ben Franklin, you were raised in a different era :-) I don't know a lot of his music but I do like some numbers. But here's what I really like about him, a pay-what-you-can restaurant he created in New Jersey that serves healthy food for low income people and I look like him minus the good looks.

That photo creeps me out, Jason.  I think you should just go back to a picture of Tux the penquin. :-)

Actually, I use the Benjamin Franklin moniker in honour of my late father. He was bald on top but had long sideburns and I used to call him "Ben" because he reminded me of Franklin. Also, I identify with him as a scientist. :)

While the Bon Jovi photo doesn't creep me out, I don't think it fits you. Now if it was some NDP personage; even Andrea Horwath.

We've had a secret vote Jason: Change your picture! Even our cat shook her head and walked away.

Thanks Buster, for my chuckle, today! :-)

Okay, okay. I got rid of Bon Jovi, though he's sad that you think he's creepy-looking, Bill! I got a new hairstyle today so now I look like Ben Franklin. It was a style that was inspired by Keanu Reeves and if you don't like it, you can keep that to yourself. ;D

A hybrid of Jason and Ben Franklin; brilliant. I guess you wanted to inject a little bit of inventor into your image.  ;)

Perhaps. I really did consider putting Andrea Horwath on there but that probably would've confused too many people who wouldn't even recognize her OR the name.
