Title: Huawei Mate 30 without Google services (Mobile Syrup)
Post by: Jason on September 21, 2019, 11:48:20 AM
The upcoming phone from Huawei won't have Google services. Note that this doesn't mean that you won't be able to install other apps from Google Play. This is strictly about the apps that Google makes like Gmail, Chrome, Docs, and so on. But the article still asks an interesting question - Canadians, would you buy the Huawei Mate 30 Pro without Google Services (https://mobilesyrup.com/2019/09/19/canadian-huawei-mate-30-pro-without-google-services/)? So, would you?

I wouldn't buy the Huawei Mate 30 Pro, with Google services. :-)

A $800 - $1000 CDN  phone is not on my interest list.  My budget for a new cell phone is around the $150 CDN range.  PCMobile, in the Loblaws stores have a number of new pre pay phones to chose from.

Ha ha, good point. i wouldn't pay that much for a phone anymore either. I did once when the Galaxy Note came out but I think it was only (said with jest) $700 by paying it down over 3 years. Now that I have a nice tablet, I can't see paying more than $200 for a phone, probably less. You should see the top Galaxy models now, they're as bad as the iPhones in terms of costs, over $1000!

What I should have asked is that would you guys buy a Huawei phone without the Google apps usually included like Gmail, Google Drive, Google Music, Books and Video?
