Title: Article: Ubuntu MATE 17.10 Alpha 2 Released, Includes HUD, Global Menu
Post by: Jason on July 29, 2017, 05:31:30 PM
Looks like the next version of Ubuntu MATE is looking to be the replacement of Ubuntu for those that love Unity. Not sure how I feel about this though I've been using Linux Lite lately anyway. What do you guys think?

Interesting. It appears to have all the features of Unity that I like, but physically, it still looks like Ubuntu Mate. But that could just be a theming things. Even more intriguing is the last picture in the article, which makes it look like it has expanding menus. This is a feature from MacOS that I have been missing since switching to Linux. But it might just be specific to Settings.
