Title: Database woes
Post by: Jason on January 31, 2021, 08:35:50 AM
You've probably seen the message about SMF not being able to connect to the database error a few times. I what is happening but not why it's happening. I thought I had found a cure but it didn't work.

I'll keep investigating. I just wanted to apologize for the annoyance if it happens to you when you try to visit our site and let you know I'm on it.

If anyone has any suggestions for MySQL-tuning, please send them along.

Thanks Jason for getting the PLUG web page back up again.

That's what I'm here for. After all those donations I can't let you guys down. :) Besides, all I do normally is just restart the MySQL server or reboot the server if I have to because of kernel updates. Now to figure out why it's doing it. Maybe my Linux administration course will help me with this if I'd just get working on it! Oh, and if anyone notices that it's happened, email me or even better text me if you have my number so I can take care of it. If you want my number, send me a PM on here. Remember the email feature in the Forum doesn't work.
