Just got a call from Applewood they are on Quarantine lockdown, so we have to reschedule for the 21st or the 28th. Or find a different venue. Retro's Esports is closed so I am without a spare option. Any and all input is appreciated.

I vote to reschedule asap, so the 21st would be my preference. But I can make either date.

We are scheduled to get some snow Monday, so this may work out for the best. 21st, 28th if necessary. I say that because the lock-downs often can be lengthy.

Sounds good. Glad you guys figured it out. Hoping Bill's wife will be out of hospital both for her and for Bill being able to come.

I hope so to, I also hope that everyone got the reschedule notice and that we don't have people showing up to a lockdown.

I got a call saying that Applewood was still on Quarantine, then I got another call saying that it had been lifted. As it stands we are still a go for Monday night. HOWEVER that is to be taken with a grain of salt as I am waiting on a confirmation call Monday Morning. I will send out notice immediately if I hear that we cannot host at Applewood.

Thanks for the update, chief!

It might still be a good idea to put out an official announcement soon with the caveat that you mentioned below that people should check Monday afternoon to make sure the meeting hasn't been cancelled due to quarantine.

Forgot that you had already amended the original announcement with the new date. Hopefully, it doesn't go into quarantine again. It's going to be hella cold and windy Monday but should be clear at least according to The Weather Network.

I got the call this morning, despite getting the all clear on Thursday they are still under lockdown. In any case I will release my slides in PDF and start a new thread with the presentation notes.

But we're still potentially on for next Monday, right?

As potentially on as weather and location allows I am trying to source another location so we can at least have it somewhere next week.

It's pretty close to February now so I'd suggest just having a meeting in February, perhaps postponing it until the end of February (if possible) so their quarantine is most likely to be over. That would give you more time to find an alternate location if you want to do that, as well.

I have to disagree with Jason. We've had a number of cancellations since the fall, and we stopped having PLUG MUGS as well. I think we need to meet regularly to survive as a club. If the quarantine is still on next week and there is no alternate venue, so be it. But if we can meet this month, I think we should. Even if the meeting is a week or two before the scheduled February meeting.

We only had one cancellation of a PLUG meeting before this, I believe, September.

And we haven't stopped having MUGs, it's just up to the members to try and schedule them and that hasn't happened too often. I'd be happy saying we have a PLUG MUG back on a regular day again as long as somebody shows.

And if a regular meeting is cancelled, we can make it known that there will be a MUG at the regular Tim Horton's at the same time. That'd be good to catch anybody who didn't realize a meeting was cancelled or just want to get together anyway.

I also worry about having another meeting and then having to cancel it, too because the quarantine is still on which could be very likely. If we have our regular meeting in February instead, we can do it the first Monday as usual and at least we'll be giving them two weeks for the illness to pass instead of one.
