Title: Anyone collecting hand tools?
Post by: William on October 28, 2021, 10:46:36 PM
Hi all,

Anyone here collecting hand tools?  I'm throwing away bunch of hand tools.  If you're junk collector, then I can bring them to next meeting, before snow comes.

5 hammers, pliers, cutters, wrenches, rounded out screwdrivers, etc.  They are all junk and not usable, except for hammers maybe.  You can grind down the screwdriver and use it as awl or something.  But, I already have 4 awls.

I'm also throwing away 4 electric drills, also junk.  The only salvageable part is the drill chucks but can't find use for them.  I already have cordless drill/driver set.

Many of the junk yards will give you money for scrap metal which includes stuff made of metal but not necessarily hand tools. You could give one a call if you can't find someone to take them. Probably wouldn't be much money but at least they wouldn't go to the landfill which seems a waste.
