Title: Carrytel promotion - act fast, expires Nov 21/19
Post by: Jason on November 17, 2019, 12:09:02 AM
Carrytel has an amazing deal right now - kind of makes me wish I had wait. 75 Mbps for $25/month or 150 Mbps for $35/month. Almost seems too good to be true. Hope they don't go out of business :D

Not sure if the promotion code I gave out before works for this deal but you can try. It's $10 one-time credit ($20 for me). Here's the code:

WA103641

Also you get a 7-day free trial.

More info about Carrytel in this previous topic (https://forums.plugintolinux.ca/index.php/topic,804.0.html) in the forums.

Thanks for the tip, Jason.

$25/month for the 1st month, then $40/month after that, for the 75Mbps speed internet service.  I am doubtful if  this promotion will be valid for the Ptbo/Lindsay area.
Carrytel has separate pricing /speeds for our area of Onatario. The speeds for our area seem to be 40Mbps ($30) or 60Mbps ($40).  Still the pricing is very good.

Edit - the pricing for our area also costs $50 for activation, whereas for the Toronto area there does not appear to be an activation fee.

I forgot to link the page directly up above, but it's under Promotions. Where did you see the part about that pricing only being for the first month, Bill? I must have missed that. Did you find it fine print some place?

Or are you going by the promotion saying $25 /30 days? I don't think that means only the first 30 days. It says /30 days beside all of the rates. But you could contact them and ask. Let us know if you do.

I noticed that they seemed to have different speed tiers depending on where you were in Ontario but the promotion doesn't seem to suggest a particular region, just that you're in Ontario. But agreed that they have very good rates regardless.

On the promotion page you have to click on the Order Now icon and get to the Service Overview, where the Price shows the promo is only for the first month. And I suspect this promo is only for the Toronto area because those internet speeds are not available in our area.

Thanks for that info, Bill. I hadn't tried the order button since it's not even a deal that's I'm eligible for me (new customers only). That's too bad it's only for the first month but I guess it helps trim down the activation fee a bit.
