The first few weeks after the province removed the mandatory masking for indoor settings, about half of Ontarians continued to wear masks (as still recommended). I don't spend much time away from home indoors but where I have been, I might see only 1 in 5 wearing masks, sometimes only 1 in 10. Often, the only people masking look to be seniors. I was hoping for better considering it's still recommended to wear masks indoors in public settings. I'm still continuing to wear a mask in those settings partly because my wife is more venerable but also because I think it's the right thing to do. Wearing a mask protects us and others, particularly those that can't wear one which includes children under 5 and those getting treatment for cancer or having to use anti-rejection drugs. We used to care about the "others" group once.
Does anybody else feel the same way?
