I had a photo that I wanted to edit by blurring or blocking a very small area of the photo.
Normally I use the Linux program, ImageMagik, a basic photo editor to edit my photos/images but it does take some learning, on how to use it. I didn't know how to blur or block out a small area of the photo.
Then I remembered that Irfanview was an excellent photo image program but it is only for the Windos OS.
So I was able to get ImageMagik IrfanView to run on my Mint Distro by using Wine and it works great.
I did not see a Blur tool but I found that all I had to do was to click on the spot I wanted to blur and then drag the mouse cursor and it created a small box. I then did a Cut operation and it left the box as a black coloured box. :-)
see attached photo of my 1988 Honda Accord and the licence plate location.
Edited - can't believe I made that mistake. I can't blame the error on posting the message in the middle of the night, either. :-)
Nifty, Bill. Never thought to try Irfanview under Linux using WINE. I imagine that Buster tries everything with wine. ;)
It's even harder to use but once you find where it is, Gimp has a blur feature.
