Title: Bought my wife a 32" monitor
Post by: Jason on March 26, 2019, 11:15:26 PM
Ordered this Acer 32" monitor (https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/acer-32-fhd-60hz-4ms-gtg-ips-led-gaming-monitor-eb321hq-awi/12333784.aspx?) for my wife. She presently has a 24" monitor and finds the text really hard to read so wanted to get her something bigger at the same resolution (1920x1080).

We also watch Netflix on it together so something bigger will be nice and this monitor has great contrast which is helpful for those darker movies. It also has IPS which is good since I won't be viewing it head-on.

Hoping it works out as she's even finickier with monitors than I am! But we'll have 14 days to find out and as long as the order was actually fulfilled by Best Buy, as it was in this case, you can return/exchange it in-store.

Liked that it was only $199 CAD + tax (discounted $100 right now) and free delivery. Should be delivered on Thursday.

It should be really good to use while playing the Tux Racer video game! :-)

Nice monitor!  Let us know if it solves your wife's problem of text being hard to read.

She's more of a Minecraft kind of gal. :-) Doesn't really like action games; she likes games where you build things instead.

I think that she'll find it much easier to read. My worry is that text the might look a bit strange because the pixels are that much bigger, too.

Woohoo! Just got it a few minutes ago. I might be a big jealous. It's bigger than I thought. Lol.

Tomorrow Mike is dropping off a 24" that I bought from him and I get back the 24" I loaned to my wife so I'll be back to having a decent dual monitor system again after a month of using this really old 17" LG as my display!
