Title: Article:Raspberry Pi in the sky: How to build this awesome $115 airplane tracker
Post by: Jason on August 12, 2016, 02:26:00 PM
Similar to Bill's presentation of the 1090 software, this is a airplane tracker built on the Raspberry Pi that connects to your smartphone. It costs significantly more though but it has two receivers  so you get the smaller planes, too. And you can carry it around with you since it's a Raspberry Pi.

Thanks for posting about this tracker, Jason.

Very neat!  I will tune my SDR dongle to that other frequency and see if there are any planes using that frequency in our airspace.
That other frequency may be using another protocol for transmitting its data, so Dump 1090 may not work for it.

I will have to look into this. :-)
