Title: Sparky Linux on the Pi
Post by: fox on February 08, 2021, 01:23:15 PM
Here is another OS option for the Pi: Sparky Linux. You can watch it being tested here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=voeLWFNiRCA). The review is mixed; nice features but some things that don't work. The reviewer notes that unlike MX Linux, this one isn't based on Raspberry Pi OS. One thing that made me check this one out: Sparky was one of Bob Foley's favourite distros, and he had me try it when I was having issues with Linux boot-up on my 2015 iMac.

Thanks Mike, for the post about Sparky OS, on the RPi.
In the comments to the YouTube video, some of the people were recommending Twister OS.

Yes, Twister OS seems to get high marks on the RPi. A YouTuber named leepspvideo has put out several vids on it, using it on the RPi 400 (see one here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdAJistIqOc). Runs games under Retropie, installed as part of Twister. Has lots of theme options.
