Well it's Nov 18, and Microsoft did an unrequested 'maintenance' download and update, and then a reboot at 5:32 pm. 

This is my Win10 laptop.

This whole thing is intriguing. As I already wrote, "Win10 support ended almost a month ago and I just received an update, with the whole reboot thing."

So today, in order to avoid some tasks Marilyn wanted me to do, I checked SECURITY in this old tri-core television computer running win10 with no chance of an upgrade. I was surprised by what I found:

1. Last scan 11/11/2025 7:38PM

2. Security Intelligence is up to date 13/11/2025 4:12PM

And I've already mentioned I had an update that took a while on this computer.

Worth checking on your own win10.

Nope.  when I click on More, I only get 2 options, Modify and Report To Moderator.

Edit. -   When I click on More, in my initial first post, there is no Delete option.
When I click on More on my last post, there is a Delete option for that particular post.

The simplest answer is that Microsoft likes me and is giving me special treatment. There is no need to be upset if you don't get the 'special treatment'. My mother always said I needed and deserved special treatment.

Yes, it was great seeing and talking with everyone, yesterday.
I was actually thinking there might be only 2 or 3 of us, show up, but was very pleased to see the large turnout.

I think if announcements are only posted here, not many members see them. Some members have told me they might only check the Forum once or twice a month, so the email list probably works better.

But maybe it's just because everyone knew I was going to be there.

You don't have a button on your post that says More... beside the Quoteand Quick Edit buttons? Screenshot below shows the area I mean (click on image to enlarge it). Your options will be different because you're a regular user, not an administrator but there should be a choice under the More... button to remove your post.

Was it the latest feature upgrade? If it took 5-10 minutes along with the reboot, it likely was. Microsoft will probably keep shoving those out for an eternity so they can shove programs onto your OS that you previously removed, and vacuum up any web browsing data or stuff through copilot they don't yet have.

It's likely they will keep rolling out security updates, at least for a while. That's based only on what they've done with previous versions. You can't count on it though, and the way they've shoved AI into Windows 11 now, they might stop doing it sooner if that stuff isn't compatible with Windows 10.

But who knows? Microsoft is weird.

Just for interest:

Win10 support ended almost a month ago and I just received an update, with the whole reboot thing.

Probably Microsoft really likes me. Just me.

The rest of you probably wont get the update.
