Title: Setting timeout for using sudo
Post by: Jason on December 02, 2022, 01:12:55 AM
One thing that annoys me about Pop OS is when you run a command where you need to use sudo. It requires you to enter your password every single time. Other distros have a set amount of time before you have to enter it again. I have a long password so that's especially annoying. I can understand putting a limit on how long you can do that, but every time is bonkers. Here's how you add a time to the configuration:

Thanks Jason, that is great to know.
Hopefully the Devs of PopOS will soon add the timeout to Sudo, in their Distro.

It'd be nice. The OS comes from System 76; they sell laptops with Pop OS or Ubuntu on them. There must be a reason but I don't understand it.
