What do you guys think of the reboot? Look? Features, try everything and come back and tell us what you think.

Looks good to me, Jason!  Nice work!

The old forum has "Active Topics" tab which sorts the topics by the date of last post.  Does the new forum have something similar?

Under Forum Stats, near the bottom of the page, there is a link that says, "View the most recent posts on the forum.".

New posts seems to be missing. In the old forums, I would always click on this to see the new posts since my last visit.

At the very top, you should see a link that says "Show unread posts since last visit.". It's right after the greeting "Hello fox".

OK, I see that now. What about signature? I went into my profile and didn't see a why to add or modify a signature?

Go to Profile --> Forum Profile.

OK, found that, too. Thanks.

The old forums are pretty much inactive now. Do you plan to move any of the old threads to the new forums? I think that there were a number of useful ones in the Linux-related sections. If individuals were to suggest ones to copy or move, would you be able to do that? If not, another idea would be to either add a link to old forums on the new forums page, or to add links to particular threads in the old forums on the new forum page. Assuming one or both of these ideas are feasible of course.

There's no way to "move" the threads to the new forums without copying and pasting each post into a new message. The old forums are in a module in Drupal. The new forums are using SMF so they're using two different software platforms. There might be a way to import, but it'd be kludgy.

The old forums will definitely still be accessible (to read, not to post to) and I plan on implementing your last suggestion, too, to add links to particular threads in the old forums, either in a new forum post or in an article on the main page of the website.

Suggestions of threads (topics) to link to can be messaged to me. Just give me the link to the starting page on which the thread first appears. I'll formally announce this again later.

I think we need another category for discussing software applications. If there had been one I would have posted something on Virtual Machine Manager (virt-manager), which I tried for the first time yesterday.

Okay, I'll set one up.
