Title: Linux KDE Ultrabook coming soon from Spain: Taking pre-orders
Post by: Jason on February 08, 2017, 09:51:58 PM
Not a review as they're not available yet but they do have that wow look. And it's priced about what you'd expect for an ultrabook ($800 USD for i5 version and $900 for i7 version). The i7 version is dual core with 4 threads. I'm surprised a bit to see a dual core i7. I knew they existed, just surprised they'd be in an ultrabook but I suppose they're probably lower in power usage.

I think that the Mac mini is now using dual-core i7. They started this in 2014. It was at that point that Mac users wanting a quad-core i7 were urged to buy the 2012 model, which also happens to be the last model with replaceable RAM. I lucked out and found a 2012 i7 demo at the former Future Shop. I got it for a price that is hundreds less than what you would pay for the same 2012 model today. See a pattern here?  ;D
