Noticed that a Google spider was checking out a topic called "Cogeco throttling VPNs?" and remembered past conversations we've had on traffic to the forums. So I did a search, forgetting that I was actually using Ecosia, not Google for search.
I did a search for "cogeco throttling issues" and we showed up as the 4th position! Not in Google thought. Ecosia uses Bing as its search engine.
So the extra traffic we're seeing could be because we're in the top 10 for various posts and it spreads around (people might look at other topics while they're here).
