THIS COMING MONDAY...
Peppermint & Remote Access

Peppermint is a Linux distro that is built to be web-centric and easy for both advanced and new users. It uses a highly customized LXDE desktop that is productive and beautiful. Jason Wallwork will be presenting the latest release, version 10. Jason will also be discussing how to remotely access both Linux and Windows boxes.

Date: Monday, November 4, 2019 - 7 PM

Location: Applewood Manor
1500 Lansdowne Street West, Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.
Parking is on the east (right) side or in visitors parking. Entrance is at the front of the building. From the front, go down the hall to the right, and enter the last door on the left.

Membership, although voluntary, is encouraged.
Membership fees cover our room rental costs and any surplus is used to treat members during the Christmas Pizza party. A membership is only $25 a year, a fee that hasn't changed since 2000. You can pay via cheque, cash or Paypal. Membership also gives you bragging rights.

We have a Linux magazine swap at each meeting. Bring in recent Linux magazines (within the last year) to trade with or give to other members. If not taken, please bring them back home for recycling.

After the meeting, everyone is invited to Tim Horton's on MONAGHAN ROAD (just a stone's throw north of Lansdowne). They have free wireless along with their treats and refreshments.

Note: PLUG MUG nights will continue as long as their is sufficient interest. Please check the forums for the sign-up list. We've  had the three same people for most meetings so we could use more attendees. So if you're interested, please attend and let us know you're coming. We're a friendly group and talk about everything Linux and beyond. Come and show your hardware!
