Dollarama has the above phone/tablet power Bank. This is a very good price! Normally a 4400 mAhr would cost around $10 or $15, at other stores.
The power Bank is precharged and has a built in led light.

Update - the 2 units I purchased had only about 1/2 of a charge, on them.
There are no instructions on how the on/off button functions to turn the power bank on/off and to turn the led light on/off.
But after fiddling with it for a bit, I figured out the various combination of button presses.

Does it put out as much, or near as much, charge as advertised?

I don't think know. I would have to put together a test circuit, to verify..
I would expect this item would have the same capacity as any other 4400 mAhr unit. The capacity is determined by the size of the LiPo battery, that is used.

I'd be very surprised if it still had the ability to charge fully or near fully. Probably only goes to halfway. I mean there has to be some reason it's in a dollar store. But even then, it'd be worth it seeing as how you could pick up several of them for the same price as one in a regular store.

These power banks have 4 led's to indicate the level of charge.
I charged both of the ones I bought and they charged up to full charge, as indicated by all 4 led's being lit.

OK, I have now tested the power bank, at charging up my ZTE Axon 7 mini cell phone.  It did a good job of charging.
The phone had only a charge of 1%, when I attached the power bank.
The phone charged up to 73% using the power bank and the power bank was left with 1 led indicator charge light still shining, out of the 4 led's available, to show the power banks charge capacity.

The Dollarama store, in the Wallmart mall, on Lansdowne street, has got more of these 4400 mA power banks, back in stock, as of last week.

That's pretty good for a $4 device!

Sweet Deal. I'm going to grab a couple of them. On a couple of occasions, my phone or tablet has gone under 10%. Be really good to extend the life of them when that happens.

Unfortunately, this was the only power bank model they had at Lansdowne Place Dollerama. Only a power LED and only 1800 mAh. Haven't checked the one near Walmart yet.

What's the brand name, Bill? Is it Power Bank? Next time I'm in, I might ask if they can get those specifically.

No, power bank is just the name, that these devices are called.
This Dollarama power bank has a manufacturer name called Hype.

If there are still any in Lindsay, would you mind picking up a couple for me, Bill? And I'll pay you back for them?
