Jason

Throughout November every Thursday evening, beginning at about 7 pm, everyone is welcome to hang out with other PLUGgers at Whistlestop Cafe at George & Charlotte in downtown Peterborough. We call these nights PLUG MUGs. There is free wireless internet and no agenda; just friends hanging out and talking about everything from Linux to X-rays.

If you're planning on attending this MUG, please POST BELOW, at least 4 hours before the meeting. This way we avoid having somebody turn up and nobody else does (it's happened). I recommend you don't come unless at least two people post. By the way, you don't have to be there right at 7 pm, that's just a suggested time. We fully expect people to show up at different times. If you're not coming at 7-8 pm though, do let us know when so we can wait for you.

Synchronize your watches!! <^8# See you there!

I like your moving banner, Jason.  :)

I'm planning to come, but not before 8 pm. That is, if others are coming.

Thanks. Banners are annoying but they do get attention :)

I'm definitely coming, too. Will be there by 8 pm if not before.

Scott

I will make it after my wife gets home, sometime around 9:45/10:00 if anyone is still around.

Jason

I'll be there until 10:30 pm, longer if somebody can give me a ride home. Bob usually comes so that shouldn't be a problem.

I'll try to be there.  While on the subject, may be we can move PLUG meeting to Thursday as well?  It's kind of confusing to have one on Monday and the other on Thursday.

Jason

AFAIK, at Applewood, Mondays are the only day they have available for meetings. But maybe that's changed. Bring it tomorrow for Bob to look into it.

This is my pot luck night, I'll see if I can swing out after. Just rooted / flashed a Galaxy Note 4. Curious to see what is under the hood software wise.

I'm here now by myself. Had anybody talked to Bob recently? Sent him a couple of texts with no response.

12 minutes is all I got, Scott and I stuck around long enough to watch the downtown burn. Yes I will come out more often and yes I hope to come out earlier.

We hope to stay later next time around, too. Can the downtown burn more than once? :)

Not sure Jason, but it was quite the scene, Firefighters blocked off George between Hunter to Simcoe.  The roof/upstairs of the building Simple and Money Mart are in caught fire.  Brian and I left Whistlestop around 11 and saw the smoke, walked up, I checked it out for about 20 mins before going to the Jan Schoute.  Left an hour later and returned, fire still going strong.  Managed to get some pics and a video for the Peterborough Scanner Feed.  Also, will happily make it out to more MUGs on non Monday nights, after my wife gets home :)

Jason

Wouldn't be so bad if the money mart burned down but if it was upstairs, figured there were apartments in there, but the Examiner wasn't sure but there was a photography studio that firefighters were shooting water into.
