An interesting article about the Chrome browser traffic mostlly secured using HTTPS.

Near the end of the article is a Link to Google's Let's Encrypt web page. It appears you get a free Certificate Authority to enabled HTTPS on your website.

I wonder if we can get the PLUG website, secured with HTTPS? :-)

As you guys have probably noticed, the website is now secured using SSL and has been for a few months now. It's not free, at least not with our host, but we're covered for about a year.

Could the free Certificate from the Google Lets Encrypt web page, not be used?

No, because it requires that the host support it, which they don't. 1and1.com does, but 1and1.ca, our provider, doesn't. But we can explore this when the host renewal comes up in December. In this case, the club didn't have to cover the cost. Like with hosting, I have sponsored it, for now.
