Can I have one computer on my Windows home network excluded from the Internet?

This whole thing is intriguing. As I already wrote, "Win10 support ended almost a month ago and I just received an update, with the whole reboot thing."

So today, in order to avoid some tasks Marilyn wanted me to do, I checked SECURITY in this old tri-core television computer running win10 with no chance of an upgrade. I was surprised by what I found:

1. Last scan 11/11/2025 7:38PM

2. Security Intelligence is up to date 13/11/2025 4:12PM

And I've already mentioned I had an update that took a while on this computer.

Worth checking on your own win10.

Well it's Nov 18, and Microsoft did an unrequested 'maintenance' download and update, and then a reboot at 5:32 pm.

This is my Win10 laptop.

Thanks Harry, for the info.
I have Win 10 an my old 13" HP notebook. I rarely use it, so I should probably leave it plugged in running overnight, to see if it updates.

Edit Dec 2025- I left my 13" HP notebook plugged in and turned on, overnight but there where no updates provided for Win 10. :-(

I will wipe Win 10 off the notebook and install a lightweight Linux Distro.
This will greatly let the notebook speed up in operation, since it was painfully slow running Win 10.

Quote from: buster on November 12, 2025, 11:58:39 AMThe simplest answer is that Microsoft likes me and is giving me special treatment. There is no need to be upset if you don't get the 'special treatment'. My mother always said I needed and deserved special treatment.

Yeah, yeah. I know that's not true because my mom said the same thing about me.  :)
