Ontario election 2025 Results

They sure called the election fast tonight! It was a quarter past 9 pm, only 15 minutes after the polls closed, that Global News called it: a PC majority. William will be thrilled. :D

Looks like the NDP will stay as the official opposition. And the Liberals may get party status once again. What's fascinating is that the Liberals took more of the vote than the NDP but still ended up winning fewer seats. I know why it happened, but it's still unusual. The PCs got more of the vote, I believe, at 43%, but still less than a plurality. We need to change the voting systems in this province and the country. If we had a PR (proportional representation) system, the PCs would have a minority, the Liberals would be the Opposition, and the Greens would have 6 seats. Conservatives would hate it!
