Vote early, vote often, on election day February 27, 2025

Okay, maybe only vote once and avoid that prison sentence.

In one election, a member couldn`t vote because of being at the wrong location. That hurts me to the core. So follow these instructions or you'll make me cry. Nobody wants that.

There are 3 ways to vote in person:

1. Vote at your designated voting location ONLY on election day from 9 am to 9 pm.
2. Vote in advance at your designated advance voting location ONLY from February 20-22 from 10 am to 8 pm.
3. Vote in advance at your local election office ONLY up to February 26 at 6 pm. Note that's the day BEFORE election day. You can't vote at the local election office on election day.

If you vote at a different advance voting location or a different voting location than the one designated to you, you will not be able to vote. They will redirect you to your designated voting location and if you didn't leave enough time, you're screwed. Voting is counted by poll (one voting location usually has several polls). It makes counting next to impossible if people are voting in the wrong place.

If you don't receive your voter information card next week, you can find where to vote at the Elections Ontario website.

Remember election day is on Thursday, February 27 from 9 am to 9 pm. If you are in line before 9 pm, you can still vote.

It's your duty as a citizen to exercise your vote. If you don't like any of the options, ask if you can refuse your ballot or spoil it. At least you showed. Spoiled ballots (and refused ballots if they allow them) ARE counted separately so it's like choosing none of the above.

Incidentally, you don't need the voter information card to vote. So if anybody else didn't receive it, you can look up your voting location on the website and then just show up with government ID.

The card isn't proof of anything other than your address and that you're registered. You don't need to be registered to vote. You still at your voting location, and only your voting location or the main office.

I received my voting card on Friday. And my wife received her special ballot yesterday (sent via Express Post!). They allow me to drop it off at the main office. I`m going to do that tomorrow and probably vote at the same time. Normally, you can mail it but there's not enough time for it to arrive.

I hope everybody got a chance to vote. I dropped off my wife's mail-in vote and voted myself today. I voted around 7:30 pm. It was busier at HQ than it was where I voted (Roger Nielsen school).
