Inspired by Bill's post here, I'm posting a link to a clip from Carl Sagan's Cosmo series. He imagines how the evolution of the universe if we mapped it out on a calendar. But one example: all of our recorded history can fit in the last few seconds of December 31st. It's really humbling. And he's very poetic in how he explains it with beautiful background music near the end. It's just over 5 minutes long.
