I thought I had already posted about this book/movie on the Forums but I don't seem to be able to find anything.

This is an excellent book and movie about a fictional WWII spy, in England.  The movie stars the excellent actor Donald Sunderland.
The audio book of 8 CD's is available at the Peterborough library. The audiobook presentation and narration is excellent.
I would suggest you watch the movie first and then listen to the audio book.  The audio book has a very good ending, right at the very end. The end of the audiobook sort of ties back to a comment made at the very beginning of the book.

I captured the audiobook as a series of MP3 files, in order to listen to it on my mini mp3 player.

Did you mean Donald Sutherland? The one married to Shirley Douglas although I think she passed away? I'm not the type to listen to audiobooks but I'll mention it to my wife. She really likes them. Might look for the movie though.

So I'm guessing you went and got a PPL membership. How does it compare to Lindsay's library?

I remember reading the book and watching the movie say 35-40 years ago. Remember also being disturbed by the protagonist who had no sense of humanity at all, and disposed of people he was finished with. Unsettling.
Growing up from childhood and becoming an adult is highly overrated.

Thanks, yes Donald Sunderland.  Correction now made in original post.

Yes, I got the Senior, Out of town membership for the PPL.
The PPL has more of a selection of DVD's , audio book CD's etc, plus the Linux Forum?? digital magazine.

Yes, I got the Senior, Out of town membership for the PPL.

What did that cost? I'm curious. I think the standard membership is $35/year if you don't live in Peterborough if I remember correctly (and sometimes that's not likely).

You put it down wrong again in this post. I'll remove this post if you want to fix it.
