Ubuntu... MEPIS... gOS... Yer mama's this AIN'T!!

« on: January 17, 2012, 04:02:21 PM »

Every MONDAY evening, beginning at 7 pm, everyone is welcome to hang out with other PLUGgers at Häaselton's Coffee and Sweets on George Street. We call these nights PLUG MUGs. There is Free wireless Internet and no agenda; just friends hanging out, and talking about everything from Linux to X-rays.

If you're planning on attending this MUG, please POST BELOW. It helps people coming from out of town to know if anybody is coming. Thanks!

By the way, you don't have to be there right at 7 pm, that's just a suggested time. We fully expect people to show up at different times. If you're not coming at 7-8 pm though, let us know roughly when you're coming so we can wait for you.

Häaselton's tends to close at 10 pm (sometimes a little earlier). When that happens, those of us still hanging out go to the Whistle Stop Cafe on the SE corner of Charlotte & George. It also has Free wireless Internet and some tasty dishes including 51 kinds of Poutine and now Poutine Dessert.

I should be there around 7:30 pm, as usual.  See you there!

Jaiden and I won't be there this week. I'm on the night shift.

Bummer...  Another solo run this week.  Maybe the topsy-turvy weather is messing with everyone's heads.  Left about 9:30 pm.

On another note, how freaky was it last night parked across from The Whistle Stop Cafe, to look over and see it darkened and all locked up (naturally, with the "Come in we're OPEN" sign in the tea room window!  <^8#)  The sign on the front door said 'closed Tuesday & Wednesday for repairs, hope to be open Wednesday evening".

Here's hoping.  I've already gotten used to it being there all the time...

Sorry you were alone. I was broke. That is weird about the Whistlestop. Repairs? I wonder if they had a break-in. Didn't Peggy or an employee there say somebody had damaged something before?
